Hello, I'm Carsten.

Consultant by day, renegade photographer by night. Blessed to being doing what I love, every day. Self-professed teaholic. Mover. Shaker. Wine drinker. Animal lover. VW driver. But, in the end, I'm just a man from Germany with a camera that loves to travel.

Why do I still shoot film? Good question, here are the answers:

- medium and large format (beat that digital, not a chance)
- curve response / tones in BW
- for each film a use, for each film a grain, a range of tones etc.
- you pay attention to how you shoot, I bet a digital only shooter can not claim the majority of his photos are publishable
- exposure control, those cameras do what you want, they don't get in the way
- cameras were made of titanium, steel and aluminium, not plastic
- in BW, it just looks better !
- the pleasure of having to wait (which also makes you pay attention to the way you use your film)
